The restoration is designed to be a community effort.

Throughout the year, volunteers can participate in planting, invasive-species removal, watering, site stewardship, educational activities, and other hands-on restoration work. No ecological background is required.

Our next volunteer planting days, 9 am – noon, include:

  1. Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Siesta Key Chapel
  2. Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Siesta Key Chapel
  3. Saturday, December 12, 2026 at Siesta Key Chapel
  4. Ongoing October-December, watering newly planted native trees and plants between planting days at Siesta Key Chapel, as your schedule allows 

You can also:

  • Join future planting and stewardship days
  • Learn about the native plants and wildlife of the hammock
  • Follow restoration progress
  • Support the long-term stewardship of the property
