Give Electronically with Bill Pay
Set up one-time or regular online giving with a simple, secure automatic withdrawal from your bank account or debit card. It’s that easy. No envelopes. Nothing to remember. You select when the donation is withdrawn from your account and the amount.
Stocks or IRA Donations
Donating appreciated stock can provide substantial tax savings while increasing the impact of charitable giving.
1. Avoid Capital Gains Tax by donating appreciated stock held for more than one year. SKC, as a tax-exempt organization, receives the full value of the stock.
2. Deduct the Full Fair Market Value. The donor may claim a charitable deduction for the stock’s fair market value at the time of the gift, not the original cost basis.
3. More Efficient Giving Because the donor avoids capital gains tax, the gift costs less on an after-tax basis and provides more value to the charity.
4. Tax-Efficient Portfolio Rebalancing Donors may use appreciated stock gifts to reduce concentrated positions without triggering taxable gains.
5. Favorable IRS Deduction Limits Gifts of long-term appreciated stock to public charities are generally deductible up to 30% of Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

Donating IRA QCD’s
If you are over 70 ½ years old, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA.
Benefits of giving through a QCD include:
The QCD counts towards your Required Minimum Distribution
The QCD amount does not count as income to you.
In order to do this, you should instruct your IRA custodian to make a QCD directly to the church.

Remember SKC in your will and estate plan! This is a great way to leave a legacy and may be easier than you think.
