SKC ENDOWMENT FUND
Planning for the future
You can help build a bridge to the future. Siesta Key Chapel has set up an endowment fund to provide for the future needs of the church. To find out more about the program, please view the following documents:
The Bridge Builder
An old man, going a lone highway,
Came at the evening cold and gray,
To a chasm, vast and deep and wide,
Through which was flowing a sullen tide.
The old man crossed in the twilight dim-
That sullen stream had no fears for him;
But he turned, when he reached the other side,
And built a bridge to span the tide. "Old man," said a fellow pilgrim near,
"You are wasting strength in building here.
Your journey will end with the ending day;
You never again must pass this way.
You have crossed the chasm, deep and wide,
Why build you the bridge at the eventide?" The builder lifted his old gray head.
"Good friend, in the path I have come," he said,
"There followeth after me today
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This chasm that has been naught to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be.
He, too, must cross in the twilight dim;
Good friend, I am building the bridge for him."

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Q. Is it safe to give online?
A. We understand that it is important to have a secure way to give online. We have partnered with the Presbyterian Foundation to offer this service. They designed and tested the system before they rolled it out to churches nationally over the last few years. Siesta Key Chapel is one of the many churches using this payment gateway from the Presbyterian Foundation.
Q. Is the information I give online secure?
A. Yes. All information entered on the online giving form is encrypted as it travels between your browser and their server. A process called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a protocol for encrypting information over the Internet (common on many e-commerce sites) is used.
Q. How do I know that I am communicating in a secure way?
A. When you click on the link to access the online form, you will notice the padlock icon to the left of the address in your browser. This visual indicator is your assurance that your information is being transmitted in a secure way. If you do not see this icon and the letters https that follow it, do not fill out the form.
Q. Are there any other opportunities for giving?
A. Yes. In addition to donating to Siesta Key Chapel, you can also donate to many different causes on the Presybyterian Mission Exchange website. To explore these opportunities, please click on the button below:
