Get involved with Missions ... become a volunteer!

If you would like to become involved and volunteer, review the Mission Outreach brochure. In the Guide, you will find detailed information about the various agencies and programs that we currently support. Additionally, it includes a list of volunteer opportunities for each agency. Should you wish to volunteer, please contact the agency via the phone number or email provided or, if you would like more information, contact Mission Outreach Chair Fred Teeter.

Most of these agencies are only able to survive because of their volunteers.  Volunteer shifts can be as short as an hour a week, and we hope you find in your heart to participate.  We can tell you from experience, you will be glad you did.

Other ways we connect to our neighbors: Community Outreach

Community Outreach at Siesta Key Chapel provides information and services needed in the local community. Siesta Key Chapel wants to be a good neighbor and partner in sharing God's blessings with those around us. As written in Matthew 5:16, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
To connect with our neighbors, here are several Community Outreach opportunities sponsored by Siesta Key Chapel.

Mission News: February 23rd, 2019

Roger Sandt, the chair of the Community Outreach Committee, recently journeyed to Honduras on a week-long medical mission trip with Central American Relief Efforts (CARE), a non-profit with a close relationship with First Presbyterian, Lancaster PA (Roger’s home church).

Complete medical examinations will be performed on over 1,000 patients in a four-day period and prescriptions will be written and filled within an hour after examinations. Some of the patients are in their 70s and 80s, who must walk on rock and stone streets strewn with deep ruts which are not fit for cars let alone poorly-covered feet.

And, yet, they come because this is their only medical-care option.

Be sure to thank Roger for all he does for the underprivileged he meets along the way, no matter who or where.
